Urban Experiment: Fail.

This is the only tomato I harvested from my TopsyTurvy planter this year (and it ripened on my counter).

Maybe next year I should water the damn thing.

You grow plants like I do.

See, but that's a tomato. All anyone has to do is look at your blog to see what crop you're really growing: those cute kidders.
And you can't forget to water them - they are noisier than tomato plants.

My tomato harvest, sans Topsy Turvy, has not been much better. Ron usually rolls his eyes at my enthusiasm in the spring, because he knows how this story is going to end. This weekend I bought a ton of tomaotes at the farmer's market for not a ton of money. And again we had the "Why do you torture your yourself when it is so easy and cheap to buy delish tomatoes at the farmers market??" discussion. After 30 years, I still don't know the answer to that question!!

I find that remembering to water plants is really hard to do when you have kids. It's so easy to put it off and the next thing you know everything's dead :) Congrats on ONE tomato!

Hi, Erin. This has nothing to do with your post, I just wanted you to see her hilarious blog. I think you'll truly relate to it and enjoy it.
