want to hear my rock-star laundry moment of the month? i washed my favorite white sweatshirt with my red flannel sheets. oops.
you're so right - we need to find swappers. maybe we can even offer floor scrubbing if they'll wash our clothes, too - or at least sort them (includes pocket checks).
Things I'd try if I were you to try to remedy the mess: Mr. Clean or Carbona Stain Remover (the chewing gum/adhesive or the ink one). They are available at Jo Ann fabrics or Hancock fabrics. It's a bummer. We've done it several times over the years.
JC and I had a cleaning COop for awhile that was fun, maybe you guys should do that? One day a week at somebodys house- Then next week swap- Whole house clean in one day!
All your recommendations are so good! I HAVE Oxyclean, so that's what I'll try first, but then I'll try Carole and Kara's suggestions. Thanks, guys! My mom is right, though. Because of the LIP stuff during my pregnancy, this could be a recurring blog...
Jon is serious. I have refused to do the dishes until the dishwasher is installed this Saturday. We are out of spoons, but I don't care, I'll wash a new one for breakfast everyday.
I love laundry, but hate, hate, hate, yard work. Anyone? Trade? I also organize stuff...love it. But don't like getting sweaty and dirty outside. Yuck.
Hi Erin, You go to the designated Mom's house. The Mom of the home takes the day off from cleaning. Her responsibility is to watch any of the children and make lunch. The other Mom's clean like crazy from 9am-12noon,then you share lunch together, pack the kids up, and get home by nap time! The first time we did it Jen had me clean her upstairs bathroom and that was what she needed to have done the worst- she said. I didn't mind it a bit! I love cleaning bathrooms, you get such a reward in the end. If somebody is squeemish about it- just have them dust or clean windows instead. One of the friends I had took all of my laundry to the laundry mat and got it all washed, dried, and folded in 3 hours! They have huge washers there. I picked out the family undies first before I gave her the piles- and left them home for me to wash later. Unfortunately one pair of mine did sneak it's way into the piles, and when she came back she was laughing and just said,"While I was folding them I was laughing so hard knowing that you would be mortified that I folded your underwear!" It was all good~

Do my dishes and Ill do your laundry.
You have an endless supply of chapsticks. You could do this for years. I'm just saying...

No stinkin' way! Blame it on mommy brain.
Once again I make a plug for GOOP. (Like $2 for a big huge tube of it.) I promise you, one wash and voila!
LOL

Was it embarrassing for your friends to see your dirty house? How did you split up the labor?
